National Park Krka and town of Šibenik

The town of Šibenik, established by the Croatian Kings, preserved a big part of the walls around the town as the fortifications, both, on sea and hills in the surroundings.

The Cathedral of St. Jacob is the most beautiful monument of Dalmatian stone building, masterwork and UNESCO site. In the last years city invested a lot of money in restoration of the forts and one of them, Fort Barone, you will visit at the end of our tour of Šibenik. Great opportunity to take a photo of the mouth of river Krka, harbour and the town as well as the nearby islands.

After visit of Šibenik you will continue the journey to the National Park and its most known waterfalls, Skradinski Buk. The beauty of the waterfalls lies in a fact that there are 17 smaller cascades prior to the 50 meters fall. In order to see all waterfalls your guide will take you on a path around the Park. In the lower part of the Park swimming is allowed. The whole river of Krka and its surroundings has been declared a National Park in year 1989.
